my suggestions
« on: June 21, 2010, 10:48:43 PM »
Just joined recently and have found a lot of great people on here. that being said I find it slow in comparison to RC.  Also I find that many of the threads are incomplete. Seems like people start a great thread but never finish or update.  Just my thoughts. Hope I have not offended anyone.  Just would like to see all those experience folks be more active on here so newbies like I can learn.

Thanks for the feedback, we certainly don't have the mu$$$cle that RC has, but we do try our best, as far as the threads go, just bump it up, give it a what up? I am sure we can get most of these "dead" threads a nice jolt of live and get them back on track!

Kelvin and Lisa,

thanks for being open to my feedback and for the suggestions. I agree that you guys are not like RC in many good ways.  Wasn't sure about bumping something, if there were rules like RC has on those kind of things. I will do that when searching through some really great threads that seemed to have died off in the middle of a build or something of the sort.  RC is great but when I find someone to help such as in someone this week offered me free frags to get started they are often several states away. Hoping to continue to find great folks on here.

PLEEEZ! There's just no comparison. I got whacked on RC (1 demerit) for just posting a comment in the selling forum that the guy was selling something unbeleivably unique, and I didn't even know existed (PINK Heliopora).

Lots of threads "go to sleep" because the op just gave it up, or figured it out and didn't feel like sharing his solution. Happens quite often on rc too.

it has been a little slow lately compared to when the new site first opened, but it's always slow in the summer. people are on vacation or doing other projects/hobbies, once fall get's here it will pick back up.

Coralnut99,
Agreed that RC can be ridiculous about things at times.  I like the idea that I can talk with and meet locals with this site.  Can't wait to get out to a frag swap or some sort of meet.  Never been to one before.

Chrishew09,
good point, didn't even think about the summer thing.

Summer's an absolute killer on all the boards. RC gets real quiet too.

Angelo,

Just starting to notice that with my build thread on RC....haven't really been a  thread person myself until recently, mostly read others to learn...

Nothing wrong with just reading what others are up to. Lots to be learned there, and there's alwasy the opportunity to jump in with a comment or question.

Angelo,
Agreed. I must say that this is turning out to be a great place to learn, share ideas, and meet great local members.  I have already met a few people here in person and they have been great to learn from. They really took there time with me. And must say I am glad we all have Joe from RNP, what a great place to get stuff from and good prices.  I no longer have to drive to something fishy only to be disappointed by what I get along with the poor service from inexperienced employees.
