how easy or difficult is to change a bulb once istalled? say I want to change one of the whites for a blue

depends, if you glue them then it's hard, but if you drill and tape holes in the heatsinks and screw them down it's easier. That is what I'm planing on doing, this way if i want more blue / white it's an easy change. It doesn't cost any more money just the time of drilling and taping 48 holes.

check this out 26 led's on a 30b

http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1663543

count again!!!

26cw +26rb that's 52 LEDs over a 30 breader and it's still dark at the ends.
Like I thought 24 nor 36 will not work to cover an entire 30/40breeder you need 48-52 I hate when that happens.

Evil on nano reef was saying something along the lines to use 1 led per 10-12 sq in of tank 30-40 breeder =648 in sq \ 52 LEDs = 12.1. It was a lil dark on side so maybe shoot for 11"

saw this tank yesterday LFS in Clifton NJ, is being lighted by a eco-lamp fixture 20-20" wide, the fixtures are expensive but it lights up this tank pretty good, light is about 8" from the water and the tank is about 30" high

Yes, the most ridiculously priced store in the whole wide world, they had a mystery wrasse there for $229 about 2-3" LOL SF this week $79, but is a good spot for me to stop and let the traffic ease before I take on the road.

Not sure if the order was placed already and this may be out of my budget, but i am interested in 2 light setups.

1 for my 57g illuminata 36L x 18D x 21H sps

The other is for my fuge, that i want to grow frags out in, 12L x 9D x 10H, corals will be near the top

For either setup what would i need and what will it run me?

This is all greek to me, so please be gentle in your explination.

order not placed yet.

for an SPS 57g 36-48 LED should be enough, as for price it kind of depends. do you want to use lens? do you want to dim it? check out www.rapidled.com for 36led and 48led kits, that will be more accurate.
for the fug i think 6 -12 led's will be enough, again take a look at the website for kits.

yes, i would like to dim it. Do you have to get a lens per led? I also have to get a heat sink? And what do i mount the leds to? What else would i need? Sorry for all the questions.

well the lens are up for debate some say you need them others say you don't, (sorry for being vague).
Yes you'll need a heatsink, see the link on the first post.
To mount LED's you could either glue them with thermal glue, or drill/tap the heatsink and screw them on.
Need a fan, and a small wall adapter for the fan.
Depending on how creative you want to be, you might need some sort of enclosure
