LED Group Buy

Hey guys.. I\'m looking to put together a group buy.. maybe from Rapidled.com.. still not sure.. but I wanna get an Idea of how many of you would be interested and what would you get so I can call to see If we can negotiate something..

what wattage leds are you getting? 3 watts?
I have an LED project for next year but not ready with the funds yet, I am going to replace the lighting in my nano with LEDs  :mrgreen:

first time i\'ve seen that site, and i\'ve spent a lot if time looking for LED\'s. I\'m in the same boat as Kelvin, i plan on doing and LED nano in the next month or two, after the holidays and funds are back.

my company buys load of stuff from Newark, i\'m going to look into getting pricing via my company we generally get much better pricing then what is advertised on the web.

Rapidled is much cheaper and people have order from them with great results.. so I might stick to that..will probably place my order by the end of the month.. so If you decide you wanna get something let me know.

i need to to have the LED\'s quoted through my company, i should be able to get them cheaper then RapidLED.

the quote is going to have to wait until after the new year, i have off from work until 01/04, yeah for me :mrgreen:

but generally, you can take the best prices on newark\'s website and subtract %10-%20, this is the case for most parts, we get even better pricing via Digikey, but they don\'t stock these LED\'s it would be special order and could take 12 weeks, i\'ve seen %40 off of Digikey pricing before.

P.S. i might even be able to get the heatsinks for very cheap, no promises. I was in our storage area of the building the other day and notice a few racks filled with 12ft heatsink extrusions, it\'s old stock. I might be able to buy it from the company at their price, no mark-up.

the pricing that rapidled.com has for the LED\'s are within pennies of what I could get them for, but I was able to find the power supply about $10 cheaper at Future.com, unfortunately they don\'t have any in stock
